ごんちゅうなごんさだより
朝ぼらけ 宇治の川霧 たえだえに
あらはれわたる 瀬々の網代木
歌意
夜が明け始めるころ、宇治川に立ちこめていた霧が切れ切れになり、川瀬にしかけられた網代木が次第に現れてくる景色であるよ。

When the mists o'er Uji's stream
Slowly lift and clear,
And the net-stakes on the shoals,
Near and far away, appear!
