もろともに あはれと思へ 山桜
花よりほかに 知る人もなし

私がお前を愛しく思うように、お前も私を愛しいと思っておくれ、山桜よ。私の心を知ってくれる人は、この桜の花以外には誰もいないのだから。

Are the ways of this sad world;
They seem to promise length,
