どういんほうし
思ひわび さても命は あるものを
憂きにたへぬは 涙なりけり
歌意
つれない人のことを思い悩んでも、命だけはどうにかあるものだが、そのつらさに耐えかねて流れるのは涙であった。
English Translation
Though in deep distress
(Through the cruel blow), my life
Still is left to me:--
But my tears I can not keep;
They can not my grief endure.
