春道列樹
はるみちのつらき
山川に 風のかけたる しがらみは
流れもあへぬ 紅葉なりけり
歌意
山の中の川に、風が懸けたしがらみ（柵）だと思ったものは、流れることができずにたまった紅葉の葉であったよ。
English Translation
In a mountain stream,
Builded by the busy wind,
Is a wattled-barrier drawn.
Yet 'tis only maple leaves
Powerless to flow away.
