今来むと いひしばかりに 長月の
有明の月を 待ち出でつるかな

あなたが「すぐに行く」と言ったから待っていたのに、とうとう九月の有明の月が出る夜明けまで待ってしまったことですよ。

Just because she said,
"In a moment I will come,"
I've awaited her
E'en until the moon of dawn,
In the long month, hath appeared.
